Where to begin?
I am a 21-year old trainee keeper at Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park, having graduated from the University of Exeter with a 2:1 degree in Zoology.
I am very passionate about animals, especially mammals. I have held this passion close to my heart for as long as I can remember. From a very early age, I was all things animal, going on regular visits to the local safari park and collecting information packs on animals, which I still have to this day! My parents have always encouraged me to follow my passion, and so a lot of the thanks must go to them!
And so I found myself studying Zoology at the Penryn Campus of the University of Exeter, one of the country's top ten universities. I loved my time there; the facilities are fantastic, the location is unrivalled and the staff are all top quality. You can find out more about some of my work elsewhere on this site. As I have previously mentioned, I left university with a 2:1 level degree. This is a result that I am extremely happy and proud to have achieved, and it has set me in good stead for a career in animal management.
I am currently lucky enough to be living out my dream, as I am working at Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park as an intern keeper. I am learning a lot, and am having a great time while working at the park. You can find out more about my experience as an animal keeper elsewhere on this site.
I do also enjoy other activities in my spare time...
